Girls are kind of homely. Nice butts though.

I was thinking the same thing. They look manly and not so classy.
Sex sells I suppose.

I don't recall seeing too many beauty queens in the service.

"Don't the women look like dudes?" "Not after 6 months though."

Reminds me of lines from movie, Four Brothers (Mark Wahlberg and Tyrese Gibson), talking about Gibson's character's military experience.

"Why do people get so upset over stuff like this? (Or simply stuff YOU don't want for that matter?) Don't buy it."

The existence of this nonsense inherently causes problems and screams "THIS HOBBY DOESN'T WELCOME WOMEN". Don't buy it? Sure. Maybe if enough of us don't buy it (my hope) then companies will stop.

But in the meantime, how many girls and women see this foolishness and think "ugh, more sexist men being horrible... I'll skip right past this hobby"? Fellow modelers, we are better than this nonsense.

I actually wrote about this on my blog a while back after having to try to explain to my daughter why the Weathering magazine includes a scantily clad woman.

And so far their "unacceptable" and "unwanted" figures have run up a page and a half of free advertising here on the Big A! We may moan about these subjects, but it's our own inadvertent advertising of it that helps them sell. Personally I don't care either way - I see the issues but feel life is complicated enough and this just isn't a battle worth my time. But I AM deeply worried about Dennis' assessment of rural charms - I thought the countryside was all full of fit young people straight off the Dukes of Hazard! Another illusion shattered...
