I was wondering if anyone has built the C7P universal tractor or the C7P(p) "klara" in 1/35 by Mirage hobby from Poland? Are these kits any good or are they a "hit and miss" type of company? Any input about Mirage would be great!!! Happy 4th of July AMERICA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks in advance, Otto

These eastern European kits have very fine parts, but have heavy sprue attachments. It takes a lot of careful cutting to get some of the smaller parts off and cleanup with needle files is a must. The parts tend to be molded along flat lines and superstructures have to be assembled via beveled edges. It can get tricky, but overall I enjoy build these little tracked vehicles. I have not tackled the one you are building, but have built a couple of similar tracks like the RPM TKS and T-26T. RPM boxes Mirage kits, I think the companies may be related/connected.

I picked up yhe Klara from Missionmodels.com a several weeks ago. The kit is not too bad. I have been working on it on and off. You have to cut away a large portion of the hull sides, and the instructions are a bit cryptic. I have done the cutting and found that you actually have a bit of leeway there. The fit of the cab to the lower hull isn't the best and requires a great amout of cutting and adjusting. This is a far as I have gotten to date. Overall, the finshed product will be a nice, out of the ordinary model. It will just require time and patience. As long as you have no problems with the required chopping I recommend it.
