Just finished Airborne Miniatures 1/35th Polaris RZR SW resin kit. Only being my second resin kit, I was impressed with the quality and sharpness of detail. I had a picture I used for inspiration of a MARSOC operator in a RZR in Afganistan.

The kit took me a while to build, spending a lot of time separating the parts from the resin blocks while not damaging the parts. Time was also spent in test-fitting to insure optimal fit.

Based on my reference picture, a mount for the Carl Gustav (Live Resin) was made after most of the construction was finished. The picture shows a commo backpack on board along with a Wolfhound SIGINT antenna. The backpack was adapted from a Proart resin comm pack I had in my stash, and the antenna scratchbuilt from pictures. A Live Resin FN SCAR 16 was added along with a M4 carbine from the stash.

Painting was done with Polly S and Tamiya acrylics. A dusting of Polly S Gulf War sand was lightly added for an overall dusty look. Some was rubbed off with an alcohol swab to show wear along exposed edges. A Tamiya Weathering Kit was used on the tires. Dark orange pastels was rubbed into body crevices on the hood, then highlighted with white pastel to show fading.

Thank you. Both figures required some material to be removed from the feet to get them to fit in the foot wells. Additionally, their butts needed some material removed to sit into the seat properly. Once both figures were assembled and fitted, some trimming of pouches was needed. This may have been my choice of positioned of those pouches. The drivers hand is molded on the steering wheel. Trimming required here to get the steering wheel/hand/arm alignment right. Lots of test-fitting here.

You can buy the kit with or without the figures. I bought the kit with the figures, as they really add a sense of scale and realism to the final product. The kit with figures gives you an additional seat for each figure that is molded to accept that specific seated figure. Should you decide to only add one seated figure, you have the unmodified seat to install.

Thank you for your comments, Mario. I'm not one for vignettes, as I have limited display space. However, this would be a subject that would lend itself to perfectly to a dusty, desert Afganistan scene.

Thanks to all for the comments. Some of the round parts needed some cleanup with a sanding stick to restore the round profile, but that was minimal. Overall, a very pleasing kit to build. I also used a Live Resin M48 and swing arm instead of the one in the kit. The one in the kit was molded in parts (not a big deal), with the swing arm seeming a little over-sized. All parts were very cleanly molded, the amount of detail amazing. Would not hesitate to do another one.
