Hi Gang,
I noticed that two versions of the ICV-J Stryker have been fielded. One with only the Javelin missile and the other one with an LRAS3 sensor mounted in front of the left airguard hatch. These vehicles have also the long whip antenna of the M1130. I wonder if the LRAS3 version is an additional observer/command version? Maybe Frenchy can jump in and give some pictures?

Is it the lraS3 you mean that blast models have for the humvee and stryker ? It would be nice to see a photo how they have added it to the javelin stryker.. Have you got the blast javelin yet , if so how was it? Hope mine arrive tomorrow with the stryker boomerang..

Nope, my ICV-J conversion is still on the way. I found some pics of the LRAS3 Stryker on DVIDS, but lost the link.

The Strykers with the Javelin and LRAS3 are from 4th Squadron which is the Scout (19D) heavy RSTA squadron.

1st through 3rd squadrons are infantry heavy.

Thanks for that. But underside armor package, a.k.a. Driver Enhancement Kit is in service for about 10 years.

I have got my set now from Gilles, it's looking very nice.. Hans-Hermann we would need the cage and LRAS3 that some of the Javelin Strykers have in Germany on exercise

Gilles is thinking about it. He only needs the proper references. BTW the stowage rack is the same a on M1296. Maybe you can use the rack from Panda Models kit.

Speaking of Stryker stuff, I would be very happy to have a Stryker crew in OCP uniform and MICH helmet.

Servus Hans-Herrmann,

as you can see I`m new in this forum, jet I followed it during the last year.
Well, one of my interests is the Stryker vehicle.

Regarding your question about this “new” version of the Stryker, I found the following links, which may be interesting for you:

The first link is a product information datasheet from the Leonardo Company and explains the targeting under armor system, which is part of the Tactical-Network Lethality Program.

So, this may explain the LRAS3 sensor in front of the hatch and the antenna due to the network capability.

HH,
I would suspect that the LRAS3 equipped vehicle is just a M1127 Recon Stryker with the CROWS-J fitted. The M1127 previously had a flexible M2 .50 MG as well as the LRAS3 mounted on the Commander's station. Since the CROWS-J replaced the .50 Caliber MG and is fitted forward of the station, this is would facilitate moving the LRAS from the commander's hatch rearward to the observer's hatch.

Just my $0.02 USD worth

Servus Peter,
thanks for the links, I will read later.
@tankrider
No, M1126 CROWS is a M1126 ICV with the LRAS3 fitted on a platform between the hatches. M1127 have a different commanders hatch/ LRAS3 mount. It would require to great mods to install the Cdr.`s hatch and the M151 RWS.

Add. A freind told me that the designation of the truck is M1126
ICV-S. S stands for Scout.
