Saturday morning and just received my M8-AGS from Panda. Looking through the box and I find something...let's say unconventional (at least in my experience). The turret ring has three clips that clip into the hull....permanently. In other words, unless you do some cutting and filing, once you put the turret onto the hull, it's not coming off. This is my first Panda kit, so wondering if this is standard for them.

The turret rings on their M1 & M1IP also have that feature. With a gentle touch you can wiggle the turret free without damaging it.

Heya, Carlos,
I've got the Panda Kuraganets 25 IFV and it is the same system --- I have heard from other modelers that they do this on other kits, too.
My plan is to clip off one of the three pins and then carve two notches into the turret ring so that I can remove the turret when needed.
Hope this helps!
With Regards and Aloha,
Johnny B.

Same with their new Stryker Dragoon. Seems to work fine, turret comes off no problem

Johnny....thanks. I was thinking the same, carving out the three notches, buy your suggestion makes more sense....break one off then carve just two notches......
