Ok - the dio's done (well there is always more you can - but the dead line is here).
Now there's only photography to go and they're calling for RAIN

I've got my indian rain dance going in hopes of keeping the rain at bay long enough for a quick photo shoot.

Don't feel too bad Scott. I have mine done too but they are calling for snow here, in Indiana, tomorrow. One way or the other I am submitting pictures.

Well, offcourse I pray for good weather for ya, but any bit of daylight should do... You could always make better pictures afterwards and enter them too

I looking forward to see those pics !

Eagle - You will be getting some type of pictures. I like the natural light ones a bit. My backup is two 150watt lights and few odd 60watters placed all around.

If your camera has the option, you might try bouncing the flash off the ceiling... Makes for nice lighting, and eliminates the harsh 2 dimensional look that you get from direct flash. The trick is to tape an index card to the flash to direct just a bit of the flash forward while the rest goes to the ceiling and bounce back down from above... The photo link below for what I mean...

That's a good idea. I'll have to try something like that to get more indirect lighting going.

It works very well... Just keep an eye on your f stop so you don't give up too much depth of field... It works very good for portrait photography too... Gives a very three dimensional feel instead of the flat look that you get from direct flash... It's an old photographers trick... Next time you see a press conference or something like that on the news, if they pan across all the newsie photogs you'll see a lot of them using the technique. By the way... I am one of those newsie photog types... :-)

Oh just rub it in! I'm in Keenan's boat but worse... The weather guys are saying we'll get a rain/snow mix.... Ick! The worst of both worlds without that sunshine thingy!

Well, it is raining... So I brought the diorama to work with me and get pictures under 8 six foot neon tubes. I hate what those do to the colors but I will send some shots from outside if the sun ever comes out. Probably about June...

Last Day of the operation and it's still raining - that won't dampen the spirt (it may drown out some color in my photos though).
