So, a half-inch diameter ball in 1/35???

Doesn't sound too exciting!

It’s Sputnik 3, a significantly larger satellite, cone shaped.

Ah OK. (The link was flagged as a dangerous site - I'm @work yeah.)

Yes much cooler. A cross between a Gemini capsule, a Dalek, and a 1950's appliance!

Informations about the original Sputnik satelite.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sputnik_1

With 23 inch dia, it could be done as a 1:1 scale kit.

I would love to see a model of the Russian R-1 rocket booster. Many versions from 1957 to today. One of the most successful piece of engineering ever built.

I have an idea:

How about a 1/35 model of Khrushchev's "Party Lapel Pin"..? $89.95 USD Retail, $15.95 USD Shipping. Comes in an 18 x 18-inch box, and you'll need a microscope to view this wonderful pin...

Do a diorama with this thrown in the back of a pick-up truck and label it "Space Junk"

Or a pile of guys in NBC suits approaching it and tentacles creeping out of it-

One of those Russian trucks all rusty with this in the back along with and a couple of tanks with a sign in front "Soviet Union going out of Business sale."

The possibilities are intriguing.
