These look great, but calling them the "wedgie series" is sort of droll. Do they actually know what a "wedgie" is? Or is this, in fact, some rather pointlessly weird April Fools joke? And are they really only six centimeters per side? Way too small to be useful for anything outside of a couple of figures.

I question whether you actually know where the term wedgie comes from in a modelling sense. That’s exactly what all of these types of bases are designed for - to display figures. The “wedgie” term was first used by Chris Mrosko and he started this with Warriors. Since then these have been released by many companies like Darius, MR Modellbau, etc., all to use for figure vignettes.
Some modellers have used the idea to display vehicles, but that was never the intent of the original idea.

Figured it was something like that as in a "wedge" shaped stand, couldn't help myself...still, the bases are elaborate but kind of small.

I get that it's 1:35, but it's hard to tell the scale of this base without a figure on it.
