MH 60 black hawk , always painted black ?

I have just ordered the new MH-60L black hawk , so i wounder if this helicopter is always painted black ? Never dark green or Grey ?.. thankful for all help

The answer is yes, all US Army 160th SOAR MH-60Ls are painted black and the 160th SOAR is the only unit that uses MH-60Ls.
The first picture Frenchy posted is not an MH-60L. It is a standard Army UH-60L (pointy rear stabilator) with nose-mounted weather radar and a FLIR, which is painted Helo Drab Green and is very dirty and oily.
The second is a a flat black 160th SOAR MH-60L. It appears a mottled dark gray because the black fades quickly and it has a lot of spots that have been painted with touch-up paint.
Check here for more info on 160th SOAR MH-60Ls as used in Operation Gothic Serpent (Somalia '93) as depicted in the kit decals.

It also happens to be part of the most extensive helo walk around any where on the planet.

To replicate those two paint jobs from the photo's would be a task. I don't think any two spots are the same color.

Decant commercially available cammo paints from Home Depot or Lowe's. That's what they're using, hence the various shades.
