Hi all,
On the front cover of the David Doyle book on the CCKW 353, the reflector on the front of the loading tray appears to be orange colored, likewise in the top shots on pp. 384 and 389 and on the AFKWX on p. 443. So: were there differently colored reflectors on military vehicles in those days, or were all reflectors red and it's just the photos that make them look orange?
Thanks in advance,
Peter

I had two originals, both were OD, having been over painted at least once each. Both were red, which is correct for WWII, as Frenchy's link shows. However of the two I had one did look orange/red, which I figured was because of its age, and due to me trying to clean off the paint.

Thank you for the input,
seems like front reflectors of both colors were used at least late in the war and in Korea.
