Hello...I was wondering if the crewman who is supplied with the new Tamiya M3 Stuart can represent a Marine Corps tanker...circa Tarawa? From what pictures I have seen the helmet would be the same...and I believe the coveralls would work also....but I am not 100% sure.
I cannot find any WW2 marine tankers so I hope he will work.

Thank you in advance,
Eric

The patch pocket on the overal, and the one on the USMC dungarees, seems pretty similar. Some scraping with a rounded x-acto knife would help.

This is some combat footage from Tarawa. At 10:15 there's a good view of a Marine tanker. Looks to be the standard trousers and untucked uniform shirt and tanker helmet.

I was looking in Osprey's US marine Corps 41-45.....in their color plates they show the upper torso only of a tanker....you can see clearly the tanker helmet....in the description of the plate it describes him "an M3 pistol holder is fitted over his mechanic's coveralls", which is what the Tamiya Stuart crewman is wearing also.
