Thanks for posting this. I’ve wished for some time now (like for 38 years, back when I was training as a Nuclear targeting Officer), that a mainstream kit manufacturer would release one of these in injection molded styrene. Maybe now?? I was always going to scratch-build one, but I suppose if I do, it will finally get released?!? It’s far past time.

I still have the Sharkit one - unbuilt after what must be nearly a decade now to my shame. A fascinating weapons system.

When I was researching this I discovered that the British Army was considering buying it, but it didn't quite fit into the then organizational doctrine. If adopted there was a danger that it would end up under the command of a mere Corporal, and the British Army wasn't quite ready for junior NCOs to be in charge of nuclear weapons!

...and anyone above the rank of corporal would have too much common sense to go anywhere near it! If you can see the nuke's target with the naked eye you're in the wrong time zone...

A kit would be nice, but a resin conversion would work for me too. It doesn't seem to hard to do for a mainstream aftermarket company.

With appropriate measurements, it would be an easy job for either resin or 3D printing companies.

My wife's paternal grandfather was an engineer on the Davy Crockett program. They have a man-portable unit in the museum at Ft. Benning, GA.
