Looked thru all my USMC M1A1HC pics but couldn't find it;
How are the ammoboxes and the rear CIP attached to the USMC-style bustle rack extension?! Or aren't the boxes attached to the extension but to the sides?
Thanks!

Jurgen

Most reference photos I have seen show either the 40mm ammo cans or the bustle rack extentsion. Hope that helps

Yeah that's what I saw too!
Would this mean that they wouldn't be needing the ammo cans if they have the extension attached??

You could see both. It is up to the crew, not a standard thing. It depends on how much storage the crew wants.

The way that I attach the ammo cans to my tank is by using a pair of U bolts to attach the cans to the bustle rack . Tankers never have enough room to put all their stuff !

I have found that no matter how much space you have, you always want more.
