I bought this product in the LHS and before I open the flask I would like to ask around if anyone else has used it. The reason being that it is a single part water product, and my worry is that the acrylic resin (or whatever it might be) will solidify once I open the flask. Not at once, but since oxygen will get in, slowly it will make the whole thing solid even with the cap firmly in place.

At least this is my worry. I was thinking about storing it with a toothpick as a plug upside down (and using it upside down), so no air would get in from the outside, but this might not be a viable option. I might just be worried about nothing.

So: has anyone tried this product before? Is storage an issue once opened?

I have the AK Still water for about two years, used it several times and it is still liquid in the bottle. I suppose is the same as Vallejo, so I think you shouldn't have problem with storage.

Although some larger arts and crafts stores that have store brands are cheaper.

Your a biologist...get yourself some of that bottle/specimen jar seal stretchable film or even
Saran Wrap film...pull it over the opening on the bottle and screw that cap back on.

This will offer an extra barrier and keep air out.

Now you will only have to contend with the air that is already in the bottle.

Alas, my days in the lab are over... I'm an office warrior now, so access to lab supplies has severely decreased. Parafilm is an awesome thing. I will see if I can get a hold of some. (Maybe ebay?) Great suggestion, thank you.
