I know the fighting compartment was completely OD, but what about the interior of the driver's area - the inside of the front plate - interior of the transmission covers - and the transmission itself - and the inside of the bottom plate (which is a bit visible). Were any of these parts in primer, or white?

Looks like the one in the late Jacques Littlefield's collection (Military Vehicle Technology Foundation) is/was OD. Don't know if it is accurate or not...

All of the museum pieces that I have seen have an OD interior including the transmission cover. The period photos and photos in the US Army TM's show the drivers compartment being all dark (OD) with light (white) stenciling.

I had a chance to get on the Littlefield M7 at a show when it was just restored. Just as far as the upper deck. The curator was amused that I knew more about it than he did.

I had exactly the same question: Unfortunately I have already made my choice in the build and apparently it was the WRONG choice!
