Hello!
I tried to assemble this model in 2010, but then after a week with a file in my hands I only mastered the rollers. The model was hastily removed into a distant, distant, inaccessible box ... 9 years later I decided to finish it.
I don’t need to tell a lot about this model. This is a very, very simplified model. Besides, they forgot to put parts from several sprues into my set.
Some parts are cast only half, some remained at the stage of "formation". Generally trouble.
BUT! I really enjoyed the revision of this model, it’s easier for me to make the missing part myself, even if it is approximately similar to the original, but not to redo the finished one. So the lack of many details has even benefited.
For myself, I decided to just assemble this model, modify it with improvised means. Aftermaket does not apply any ... in short, get a similar look from a distance. For me, this is enough.
It turned out somehow so ...

I made a video on the assembly for this project, picked it up 24 hours, saved 10 hours ... a total of almost 40 minutes of squeeze on the assembly process. Some moments in the video were not singled ... I already corrected something behind the scenes (the drawer and the corners of the mto grid) ... I realized for myself that I wouldn’t do such long vidos anymore - I don’t have that much time. In the meantime, here: The first part of the video is an assembly, in the new section Hardcore!
P.S. I recommend pouring tea and making a bottle, it’s really long ...

Carlos, thanks for the video rating and review. Taking close-ups was quite difficult without a professional camera. So far for filming using the phone. But I'm glad you found the video useful!

A small promotion on the model.
I removed the crawled footprint from the feeder on mto and highlighted the details that in my opinion should be highlighted.

Great job on the early T-34 - very clean construction, and that‘s some of the best color modulation work I‘ve ever seen.

I have quite a number of Dragon T-34s in the stash (I‘m building a 1942 STZ at the moment for the Stalingrad campaign) and I agree - they are a bit of a pain with some wrong parts, etc., but with a bit of work they produce a good result.

Anyway, looking forward to the next painting/weathering steps!

I am very glad that you liked my work. It seems to me that the t-34 with its inclined surfaces was simply created for painting in the modulation technique.
In general, this tank is very interesting and I think that in my collection there will be models not only of 1940 and 1943 of production .... in fact, I already bought a model of the t-34/85 ...
I’ll finish these and proceed to build the victory tank !

I agree with you, the main thing in our hobby is desire! You can collect a good model and use available tools, and not just branded add-ons.
I will not say that I have assembled a good model, but I have assembled it in the version that runs into me.

I agree - the T-34 in all its variants is a fascinating subject. Actually, my all-time favorite modelling subjects are Soviet/Russian tanks from the T-34 to the T-90 and their derivatives (plus the heavy tanks from the KV-1 to the T-10.)

Because of the color of the plastic of your build, and because it was the only Mod. 1940 kit I was was aware of, I automatically assumed yours was the Dragon kit. After watching your video, I‘m even more impressed with what you were able to accomplish with that dog of a kit.

I am constantly storming, I can assemble both an airplane and a ship .. and modern armored vehicles and equipment of the First World War .. sometimes I look at dioramas ...
For me, Dragon in 2010 was too expensive, the price difference was almost 8 times. At that time I was a student and could not afford high-quality models. Now, of course, I would choose Dragon. But the past makes itself felt - sometimes I just get high from such bad models, from how cool it can be modified.

Yes, this is a Model from Marquette, now it is called MSD. In fact, after the assembly, I slightly changed my opinion about this company. Of course, when you open the box and see the quality of manufacturing parts - you are horrified! But if you add etching and other additional details, then you understand that as a basis - this is a great option! The price causes laughter, the basic elements are of very decent quality, and small things are always better to replace.

I agree, to get separate tracks and a tank body for a low price - in principle, this is not bad. I even already have thoughts to buy another t-34 from the Marquette, but later. First you need to do this trilogy (model 1940, model 1943, model 1944).

Unfortunately, it was not possible to publish all the tinting processes in the video - the camera burned out and took part of the information with it.
