There's an error in the Lee markings. Knowing Miniart they'll catch it and release an errata sheet.

Hi, Robin!

Thank You VERY Much for the "Heads Up" with MY name attached to your message-

I have been waiting for this kit for a very long time. Yes, even before MINIART ever came into existence. Knowing MINIART as a premier plastic model kit manufacturer, I'm sure that we can ALL expect and appreciate a very high-quality kit! Now all we need are their upcoming US M3 and M3A1 Lee kits!!!

PS- Steve's right!

Seeing the photos/computer generations/whatever of this new Grant Mk.I with Interior, I wonder if MINIART will do some Shermans with interiors in the "near"(?) future..? Hopefully, we'll see the earlier 56-degree-Hulled 75mm (Dry) M4 and M4A1-series Mediums ahead of any 47-degree-Hulled 76mm (Wet) versions; THESE later versions are already more than adequately covered, I should think...

Obviously, the British versions of the Sherman-series will be more than welcome!

I can already hear the howls of protest from the "Panzer-Clique"...

Look at what they're still doing with the T-54/55 series. Even doing vehicles based on suspension components as opposed to whole suspensions.

I expect to see a CDL and T31 eventually. But one step at a time.

Would love to see early riveted hull M4 and M4A1. Maybe a kit of "Michael" complete with direct sight and M2 gun?

I have to get to my home computer before I can notify Miniart about the US schemes in the M3 Lee being wrong and incomplete.

The Lee was certainly not a render but a built kit. I love the look of the radial engine bay. YAY!

So...no criticisms about wrong turret shape, or wrong number of rivets/bolts, etc? I have Academy's with corrected suspension, and Edward's PE, but this one will undoubtedly be better.

Hi, Biggles!

Hang on, the "complaints" are already "waiting in the wings"...

Re: The ACADEMY M3- I went so far as to "kit-bash" an ACADEMY M3 Lee Upper Hull with a sacrificed "donor" DRAGON M7 105mm HMC kit's Lower Hull, Suspension, etc. RB Metal 37mm and 75mm Barrels and .30 cal. MG Barrels, plus ALL of the after-market PE, resin and you-name-it that was available at the time- All, just because I wanted an accurate M3 Lee... I went through virtually the same "rigamarole" in replicating a British Grant Mk.I...

It's more than likely I'll buy this new MINIART Grant Mk.I and the upcoming MINIART M3 Lee. To what extent I'll have to "improve/correct" either of these kits, remains to be seen. No use in complaining about prices; I know they won't come cheap...

But I won't be buying very many more models anymore, anyway- Too many to choose from, and it's getting to be waaay too expensive...

If they do progress to Shermans it will most likely start with the M4A2 as the Russians used those

Looking at the built pictures it is amazing they could even load the 75mm. But the Grant or lee would have made a great Kangaroo. Better then the priest or the Ram. So much room, and side doors!

Naturally, the Russian M4A2s will come first! But I'll keep my mouth shut about that...

I, for one, would love to see earlier-to-mid production US M4 and M4A1 75mm (Dry) Tanks first, but that isn't going to happen...

About loading that 75- You see, THAT'S why the Lees and Grants had 6 Crew-members: A Loader and the Gunner; and ONE BIG BRUISER to shove everyone ELSE in the Tank out of the way!!!
