I knocked over my bottle of Testors liquid cement. But by sheer chance, there were no parts in the way of the spill.
I must say that I haven’t spilled my glue like this since I was a teenager (around 50 years ago). In part, because I’ve held onto one of Testors’ old square bottles, that I refill from the new, round (easily spillable) bottles. But even this didn’t save me.
Also note that I cover my workbench with a sheet of plexiglass, cut to fit a full 2 square feet (60cm) of the surface. Not only does this protect me from similar spills, but I also use it as a paint pallet, just wiping it clean when I’m done with the session. Works great for me, try it, you may like it.
In any case, my project is safe and sound. Working on Academy’s 38T (Hetzer). “The Chieftain’s” YouTube videos are GREAT reference material – he does a highly informative, show and tell video on that vehicle as well as many others. Great for modelers.
