What would be the standard length of Clansman radio antennas on the Chieftain Mk.10? Two further questions: certain photographs of the Mk.10 show three antennas, others with just two. Did each have a specific function? And finally, I have noticed that in certain situations, the antennas are striped black and white. Discounting this, what is the base colour of the antennas?

Length will depend on the set installed but I’m away from my refs so can’t answer that right now.

Three antennae signify a command vehicle (RHQ, I think) and the third, in front of the light projector, is for an additional set.

As issued, all the ones I’ve seen were gloss dark green.

2m is the standard length for the VHF antenna for the Clansman 353 radio,
not sure if the chiefy carried a HF 321 radio set, the command tanks might of, antenna lengths for HF depend on the freq used. 2m upto 4m would be the lengths.
