Hi,

Thanks. No build thread, but a few more pics over on Shipwrights. Resin hull I got about 3/4 years ago and built the rest of the boat from plastic card etc.

First build in 2/3 years, figs I did some years back.

Cheers

Al

Hi Al,

Yip a while, life. Hope you're well. First of the troop Landing Craft Personnel (Large). Used quite a bit and went onto be the Landing Craft Personel (Ramped). They were still in use on D Day. Troops jumped over the side of off the front hence the matting. There were command and control versions too.

Cheers

Doing very well, thanks. Recognized the basic LCP hull, having built Monogram's UDT Boat several times. It was the overhead tarp and windscreen that threw me. Al

I've had this kit in my stash for several years. To say it is "spartan" is being too charitable - having maybe a dozen parts! (Not to mention terrible fit - the hull seems to be wider than the interior!) Is there a site where I can find detailed drawings, etc., to make a thoroughbred from a mongrel?

Hi Paul, thank you kind Sir. Everything has been packed away these last few years as I have been working on a new house so all my time has gone to that and work. Retired in March this year at least for the time being, so first opportunity I have had to do any modelling. Still working on the house, they are never ending but I can now make a bit of time to catch up.

This one has morphed a little in terms of the camo scheme, just a few more details to add and it done. More later.

Hope all is well with your goodself.

Hi, This is a good starting point

Al

You can make an intresting enought kit from the old Revelle one but it's a little short in length. Still the only game in town so have fun.

Hi folks,

The boats were crewed by 2 naval ratings and a Royal Marine so I've switched out one of the crew and given it a camo job. These boats were used in the Dieppe raid amongst other operations this seemed more interesting and appropriate.

There's a bit of a conversation and head scratchinmg going on and as usual more people watching than working!!!

cheers

Al
