Hi everyone,
I am posting pictures of my Schiwmmwagen, it is from My gallery but I wanted some feedback on it. It is almost finished, it is missing a few touches but nothing more than some paint splashes. I´ve left it painted almost one year ago and only now I am finishing it so it clumsy in some parts. Anyway tell me what you think and feel free to give me some advice or critic.....
Cheers for Beers!!!
here it goes......

Daniel, nice Schwimmie!
A couple of things which might help though...
The crossbar is broken and needs fixing, also the inside of the windscreen frame needs touching up where it can be viewed from above, the two clamps that hold the windscreen when folded seem to be missing? I can't remember if these are in the Tamiya kit? The last thing is the spare wheel looks a bit shiny though this could be due to the camera lighting. Lovely job of weathering though, I like the effect on the paddle and the wear around the headlights. Well done!

Thanks Teacher, I didn’t see the broken crossbar; I will fix it right away. The spare is Flat.
I saw the problem on the windshield but I think I will not touch it too soon, this schwie is a work that I had started a while ago and now I am finishing it. The Tamiya kit didn’t come with the clamps for the windshield, I will have to scratch build them, better look again at my references...
Thanks Mate you were very helpful.
Cheers....

Das ist einer schoener Schwimmwagen ! Very nice work. This is the 1/35th Tamiya kit ? Wow, really nice paint job and camo scheme ! Weathering looks great too. I think I would have shown more dried mud on the wheels and under carriage, but that's me. Looks perfect just the way you have it :-)
Cheers !!

Thank you guys, I don´t have much reference pictures for this car so I am trying to keep things to a minimum, that is why I put have put it on a wooden base with a small name, it gives it a cleaner look. But I will try and see if I can do the mud.... I am affraid, I admit.
Thanks for your advises and comments, if I don´t use them now I am sure to use on my next project! CHEERS !

Thank you guys.
Just for the record, it is the Tamiya 1/35 kit, it is straight form the box, but cheking my references I might add more detail.
The seats were painted German gray, drybrushed, washed and given a little more drybrush to tone down the shadows.
Cheers Mates. CHEERS FOR BEERS.

Looks good. I like the engine detail. A couple of things, though, just my personal observations:
. The tarp doesn't look quite right. Maybe a scratchbuild out of tissue soaked in white glue/water or a gun cleaning patch?
. Maybe it's the lighting or whatever, but it's hard to make out what's holding the paddle on, as well as the shovel handle.
. Maybe a little more dirt on the windshield?

Overall it looks a very impressive model. The camo and seats look excellent.
I think you have painte the molded on clamps the same as the paddle and shovel shafts. Could be touched yo with base colour again.
That could be one solution to make it looked used. Or you could weather the bottom and underneath more ... with dark browns to show that it has been used. Also the engine looks very impressive but the engine compartment is a bit on the clean side. I personally would darken the whole inside and add a few oild stains. A little chipping arounf the bottom rim for the engine cover would be a nice touch also.
Some personal items could be addded to the interior to give it some life. This brings in another dimension to the model. Check out Graywolf´s gallery for his Schwimwagen with added personnal gear, to see the difference it makes.
None of these points take away from your already great work ... just add a bit more realism to it IMO. Cheers for the beers!
