I'm glad for this iconic field piece, but where is the WW1 version? The most-famous and effective artillery piece of the war isn't widely available in a state-of-the-art kit, right?

Are there any plastic kits of World War I field guns?

Not siege or heavy guns, but field artillery?

RPM/Mirage did a crude 75mm, Emhar did crude British and German. Anything else?

Long time in coming. I super detailed the ancient kit from 30 years ago. Don't remember the original maker but Tom offers a rebox of it. Good news is I've got another back home I can bogart the spoked wheels from.

I'm surprised Hobbyboss doesn't offer a 75, since they have the gun already tooled in their Saint-Chamond (mid) kit.

IBG mentioned on Facebook that they will announce more versions of the gun within a few months and release several additional versions in the autumn, including version with spoked wheels and polish 1939 version with crew. So, it will now be safe to retire all the ancient RPM/Toms Modellbau etc kits from the stack.

In 1/35 plastic, IBG has a 100mm vz.14 Skoda howitzer (+ various later versions), Special Armour has the little 75mm vz.15 mountain gun, while UM has the 76.2mm M/1902 Putilov. Not much, admitably.

I've said it before but I'd love to see a series of 1/35 artillery of all eras like the old Hinchcliffe 54mm pieces.

In 1/72 you can find Assyrian through World War I with most everything in between with transport in some cases. That old Airfix Royal Horse Artillery set would be wild in 1/35 as would the big guns in the Strelets sets ( but with guns that can be assembled and more detailed)

Still have the Historex "Friedland " set that has a Napoleonic gun with full crew and partial team for displacement.

This is a great development and another one that could take a line from Dragon's overworked "2-in-one" kit shtick and offer both World War versions in one kit!
