I keep seeing reference to a Trumpeter version of this vehicle but in all the catalogs I have it is not listed. Does anyone make the reactive armor for this vehicle and if so is it readily available?
Thanks

Kirin made the EAAK armor. Rumor has it that is what Trumpeter copied to make their kit. The base kit was a poor copy of the Tamiya kit, but I hear the armor was usable (for at least a template to scratch your own).

Trumpeter used to make one, but it is now listed as Out of Production at Great Models. You may be able to find one on Ebay.

Mike:
It's listed under several different names. WSN comes to mind. There is currently a listing for this kit (w/ an M-60A3) on E-bay.
Whatever you do, I would strongly suggest using the Tamiya AAVp7A1 as your base kit. the trumpeter version is motorized and really isn't up to speed with the Tammy kit. The trumpeter EAAK will fit on the Tamiya kit
AEF designs makes resin EAAK and Hobby Fan has a set coming out.
I'm working with the AEF stuff now, it's pretty good. Apparently it's more accurate than the Trumpeter/Kirin set which was based off a prototype. I've only used the stuff on the top of the vehicle so I don't know how the side panels will fit.
I'll write a review on the stuff in the next week to 10 days.
