ICM: German Command Vehicle CrewPosted: Sunday, June 30, 2019 - 07:25 AM UTC
Darren Baker takes a look at a new release from ICM in the form of a four figure set for their previously released Sd.Kfz.251/6 Ausf.A, WWII German Armoured Command Vehicle, and I suspect in due course to see these two items sold as a pair. The title for this one is German Command Vehicle Crew (1939 – 1942).

I already have a Cyber Hobby Ausf C, so the standalone set is fine by me.

With a little bit of effort, these new figures can also be posed around and in a Stoewer Radio Car...

You can't go wrong with them, Bill. But as with ALL plastic figures, and as with even some of the best resin or metal ones, they DO need a little bit of work,. HORNET or ALPINE Heads, under-cutting "pockets", "cuffs", etc, sanding, filing, getting rid of "molding seams, puttying... It depends on how carried-away you want to get. Me? I'm nuts, so that means I can't ever leave well-enough alone... With ANYTHING...
Actually, I have a nice ICM Henschel 33 D1 Kfz.72 Radio Communications Truck that I may want to team up with these guys and a couple Stoewer Kfz.1s and Horch Kfz.15s... Oh! I've got a nice little multi-media BMW 328 Staff Car, too! Toldja that I liked the EARLY WWII German stuff, didn't I?

"The only complaint of note is that the box art seems to show Boris Johnson as the radio operator ‘Who knew’."
Well that's some spectacular observation Darren!
Wasn't he related to Sir Winston Churchill?
This is Breaking News!
LOL
Kind regards,
Robert Jan

I have the same kit, Dennis, and would use this set in it.

Well, since there are allegations he likes to wail on his girlfriend, maybe he learned in the Wehrmacht?

I've already got the Ausf "A" kit so these'll be useful. It is, however, a tremendous shame and terrible oversight that that kit never came with an Enigma keyboard; I had to raid my Dragon Comm center set for that. If it did and I somehow missed it I apologize profusely.
