Actually they are being released by Das Werk, Takom is just making them for Das Werk.
They are cheaper because there are no interiors included.

The illustration shows the Panther with 3 antennas.
I'm curious. Is that right? Would a single Panther carry both the Fu7 and Fu8 as well as the Fu5 ?

Can't answer your question but I'd never regard any boxart illustration as a technically perfect example of what the kit portrays.
Slightly different I know but the boxart shows a zimmerit coating, which would have been on the real thing but you don't get it on the model in the box.

As far as I know Befehls Panthers would only carry the Fu8 or Fu7 not both at the same time, still you can occasionally find Befehlspanthers with 3 antennas fitted, I have no idea why
