Hey all! Looooong time lurker, 1st time poster. I have a wordpress account and am putting my diorama blog there. The Diorama is simply titled France, May 10 1940.
It's, in a word, HUGE.
It will feature various units of the 1st Panzer division crossing paths near a farmhouse as well as a KO'd Char that was being towed by a Somua. The french armor is from the 3rd AD.
Here's a link for anyone wishing to follow.

no thanks
I'd reply with some witty banter to make you look like an idiot, but I see you're Canadian, so I don't want to pile on to an already feeble mind. Oh and stay hot, wikipedia is an essential source of facts and news.

Hmmm...you sound like a typical ill-mannered, poorly-educated, zenophobe. Do you usually name-call and ridicule when someone makes a mistake? You must be one of "those"!

Gentlemen, This is a modeling site, not a video game site - Curt is obviously a skilled modeler. Let's stick to that topic.
If you want to bad mouth each other over video games or Canadians, there are plenty of other blogs dedicated to those subjects - take it there.
Curt, please continue to post to this site. You're welcome here.

So...being a "skilled modeler" is a pass to insult Canadians??
But I guess intolerance and insulting behavior is the new norm!

@ Biggles:
Curt didn't start the s*** storm, jsmith did. Now you're perpetuating it, kindly knock it off and quit stirring the pot.
Curt is absolutely welcome here, he is a very accomplished modeler. Being a modeler is the price of admission here, he's paid his just like you. If you don't like the man you can skip the topic or use hit the hide user button.
Let's get back to the dioramas!

Nice work Curt , impressive .
Any chance you can post your in progress work here rather than having to come here to go there .
It's kinda why the diorama forum is here .
Nothing against your blog , it would be nice though to follow your journey here also .

I don't care about any $#!+storm between Gehrig and Smith... he can call him what ever names are allowed here! However, Gehrig has no business insulting Canada by calling Canadians "feeble-minded". Since when is using insulting, or offensive, language against another country tolerated here? If someone was to call Americans "feeble-minded", and "idiots", how would you feel? Would you just roll over and accept that?
An apology from Gehrig to Canadian members would be kindly appreciated!

Never even thought to ask this. Is anyone here a GOOD figure painter that would be interested in painting figures for a large, well HUGE, diorama? Obviously I'd provide the figures. I could assemble and what not or you could if you preferred. It's going to be in the neighborhood of 50+. 1940 German infantry, panzer troops and a few French Prisoners. Also some farm animals if that's of interest. I have seen others do this and never thought to ask.

Ya, that's going to happen. If you are a feeble-minded Canadian it was meant to offend you, if you aren't then I wasn't talking to you. I don't caveat anymore.

Since you are an AMPS member, try reaching out on the local AMPS chapter's Facebook page, for you it's probably Nordland AMPS. There are several accomplished figure painters in the chapter, and with them being close by less chance of things being damaged in transit. I'd offer to help you, but my skills with figures aren't tremendous.

For the life of me I cannot get photos directly into a post here. I'd LOVE to post directly here. Although my bigger issue is that I am posting this Dio WIP on about 15 sites now.

Get an imgur account for free and post from that. It's fairly easy.
And do use 'hide user' on Biggles. He will never admit it, but he has made snide comments against Americans before and/or tries to politicize topics (which I thought wasn't allowed) but thinks that little hand-waving emoji is his way out. He did it in the thread on shipping from China only a couple of days ago.
And Biggles, don't call people poorly educated if you yourself can't spell xenophobe.

Can't tell you how sad this makes me every single time I hear it. People that have never experienced this have no idea how devastating it is to a family/community.
