For those looking for balance between performance and price. There is a thing called 'micro sprue cutting plier'. Some say they are on par with GH wonder-product. Haven't tried them myself yet. Does someone of you guys use these?

Watching the video of it tells me it's like the Dspaie branded imitate, where you still get a click when you cut (GH doesn't), and it costs as much. It's a good cutter but it's a stretch to say they're the same.

They look good especially with the exhilarating narrative of someone who has never used a low profile single side cutter. But like I said it is no GH, which has lower profile, sharper blade and harder steel than all the imitations out there and hence the cost and experience. I got GH for about $42 from hlj.

Again this is not a ding on the imitations nor this micromark cutter. In fact I have more than a few for rougher cut, as well as Tamiya's 74123 because Godhand is not getting at those hard to reach sharp points.

I found this, but it looks too good of a deal for original GH:

Any thoughts about this?

Don't do it, definitely scam. There is a new thing going on where you may not be cheated out of money, but they are collecting your credit card numbers. Either way the product will not reach you

Here's a very well done review along with a discussion of how technique can be as important as the cutter itself.

Paul's videos are always useful and well made the only "problem" even if it's not his fault, his tone of voice it's so calm and peaceful that if I watch one of his videos late at night I fall asleep in no time...

No, I didn't. I saw that this thread had moved up to the top again and thought, "Jesus Christ, hasn't this guy picked a pair of cutters yet? Are people still going on about this?" and posted a video I just came across.

Maybe now that it's been posted twice this thread can die.

Guess wrong, just i don't have time to reply every single time, actually i see that video months a go,i love Paul's channel

anyway I don't understand these complaints about this thread ....you dont care?...you're fine with your pair of nippers? ...good!...go over to the next topic if you don't care , instead of being a child and commenting "Maybe now that it has been posted twice this thread can die..." sometimes I wonder if some people are writing for hobby's sake or just because being bored at home creating some controversy behind the keyboard makes them a bit more proud of themselves...

I bought recently the Trumpeter/Master tools single blade nippers and I really like them, for a fraction of the price of other brands. You can even cut very small details without breaking.
I tested them here:

Just picked up a set of these and their not bad at all ,nice clean cuts and nothing pinging off into the distance which could be a problem with my old cutters..

That's easy: Do what the owner's manual says to do.

Reporting back on my first week or so with my God Hand nippers; think this will turn out to be the best tool investment I've made except for my Iwata HP-CH (going strong after 15+ years). I'm working on a tank kit with individual link track, and what a timesaver! I was able to desprue the 200 links in about half the time it normally takes with greater control (lost ONE link due my lack of coordination); and there is practically NO cleanup; just put the damn links in a line and glue them. Similar results with roadwheels. Less time doing tedious building and more fun time painting! Love these things, and so happy I happened to see this link. Thanks to the God Hand posters.

Glad to hear all the positive feedback. I had my eyes on GH for quite some time, but I can't seem to find the best deal out there... ordering outside EU will surely result in custom fees.

I'm sure this is the right thread to post this question.
Does/did someone use one of these?

Look at Gundham Planet for a set of Godhand nippers.
After reading many reviews I decided to get a set of Gundam nippers. They were a close second to the GH nippers. It was not the cost that changed my mind. I read the reviews and all spoke of how well the GH nippers worked. However about 10 % were not happy because of the blade chipping or breaking. I think because they are so thin, they work well but the hard metal is brittle. None of the Gundham nipper reviews complained of chipping or breaking. I live in Murphy's laws jurisdiction so I know what will happen if I bought the GH nippers.
