Suggestions for paint for a British Centurion in the mid-50`ties??
It’s going to be for a factory delivery vehicle of a late production MkIII/Mk5

I know
But which brand/paint is closest?
The color varied through the decades.

You can't go wrong with any of them then, the factorys ordered the paint locally so the is variable difference between them as pigments were still in short supply.

If you use Tamiya paint try a 50/50 mix of Olive Green and Olive Drab. Also add a bit of Clear Gloss.

Deep Bronze Green SCC 224
Tamiya Mix: 8pts XF5 + 5pts XF62. It was a satin paint so a clear satin top coat gives the best result.

In my opinion Mr.Paint MRP-341 is closest to the real thing (at least to the official BS color chip).

I've heard Tamiya AS-21 should fill the bill:

And is this color not Deep Bronze Green?

I used Vallejo's Bronze green. Came out looking not bad at all.
