I am currently working on a 1/76-scale diorama showing British soldiers carrying out a 'stop and search' of a civilian vehicle in Iraq (around 2003). Their Land Rover Defender Wolf WMIK is parked at the side of the road, but I am not sure which makes of vehicle would be most appropriate in Iraq at this time.

What about a VW Transporter (from Oxford diecast) ? :
The Westfalia Camper above has left-hand drive, contrary to most of Oxford models. Maybe it could be converted to a more commonly seen standard minibus by removing the "pop up" top ?

Toyota LandCruisers and Mitsubishi Pajeros are very popular in Iraq.

Agree, but they're not as popular in 1/76th scale...

Thanks to you both for your replies.
Yes, here in the UK it is difficult to find 1/76-scale miniatures of non-British civilian vehicles. Actually, I have just come across a die-cast model of a generic pick-up truck that has a striking resemblance to the Toyota Land Cruiser. With a bit of work, it will be perfectly acceptable for the scene I have in mind.
