I read somewhere that the sights, being fragile parts, were dismounted and stored for transport.

Are there photos showing which part was removed and which one remained in place? Better for Nashorn and Wespe but I guess oother guns may be ssimilar.

Maybe you can draw your own conclusions using this picture of the RblF 36 (Rundblickfernrohr 36) sight used by the Wespe gunner :



or this one showing the Sfl.Z.F. 1a (Selbstfahrlafetten-Zielfernrohr 1a) primary gun sight fitted to the Nashorn :

You can notice some detail differences with the set pictured in my previous post (early vs late ?? ) which was also used postwar by the Czechoslovakian army (see the Slovakian writing on the parts "utahni" and "povol")
