After having completed a GMV-S, based on M1113 (I'll share some pictures in a different post), I have
started a new project: building an M1165.

My reference point is the vehicle that I have found at Warwheels http://www.warwheels.net/HummerM1165A1charvat.html

No M1165 kits are available in the market, no conversion sets (there was one from D-Toys but it is no
longer available), therefore I started to 3D design the parts necessary to upgrade an M1151 Academy to
an M1165.

In the pictures below the Academy model with the first draft of the conversion parts.








I have now finalized the design and here are the renders (the conversion set is now available at Shapeways).











The next challange to face is the LTAS B-Kit armored doors; I have to verify if it's possible to use the
Academy doors, applying small changes and adding new window frames that I will 3D design.
