Just finished the Tasca 'Luchs' OOB and though I'd post some pics before putting it in a dio I'm building.

Excellent Luchs Vinnie. This is one kit that stands out from the normal bought kit .... something I want to have myself. You made a great job of the camo and is faded perfectly. Nice dusty appearance. I heard that the tracks need replacing for this, but after seeing them here, I dont think I agree. In my eyes they look great and fit perfect, including a realistic sag. Did you stretch them for this, or do anything to them, more than the paint job? How were they to paint?
Nit-pick time. Looking at the last picture in particular .... the weathering is consistent ... maybe too consistent. IMO, if the bottom hull and running gear is more weathered than the top, it adds to the realism and actually adds to the 3D effect. Maybe you have some plans for this when adding it into your dio .......

I may not be a tank critic but I like it especially the rust area on the back of the model. The treads looks more like a metal than a plastic/rubber which adds realism.

Thanks for the comments Frank. As for the tracks, I found the kit ones to be perfect. All I did was zap 'em to the top of the wheels. They paint up really well. I planned to add a bit more dust. grime etc. to the lower parts but only when included in the dio so that I can pull all the vehicles together. Although I think this kit is near perfect one of my little nitpicks is that they don't include the width indicator poles, even though they're included on the box art!

Overall an excellent piece of work. My only question is the main gun seems to be either missing paint or was over sprayed. Unless it is supposed to be dust.
Love the way the muffler looks.

Petro, I agree. It's supposed to be dust but I might have overdone it a tad, I'll fix it. Thanks mate!

Vinnie,
Good job painting and weathing the kit. One small nitpick though. In the last picture it looks like the one track is a bit skewed out of place.

In Concord's 4. Panzer Division, nos. 1 & 2, there are several pages of excellent pics of various Luchs' in action. Most have the fender width indicators and a couple appear to have them missing or removed. The ones that do have the indicators have very short ones - about half the length of the ones on Teacher's Luchs.
