I know in 1944 the double-buckled boots came out to replace the old shoes and gaiters, but I wondered when the older footwear finally went off the scene? Ironically so many US Army figures show them wearing the older-style footwear.

After April 1945. There were doughs stuck with the leggings until VE-Day.
The Marines used them through to Korea.
