I am aware that the Germans (during WW2) marked their jerrycans used to carry water with a large white cross. I am working on a DAK diorama involving the crew of a Pz.Kpfw.II replenishing their water cans from large drums. Would these be similarly marked to distinguish them from fuel drums?

I haven't found any period pics showing water drums. Here are the closest matches I've came across...
