It looks like a pretty nice kit. Surface detail looks really good. Good decal options too. I may have to get one.

One correction to the review though. He says the center caps for the roadwheels are wrong, but they are not. The ones in the kit are a newer design present on M1A2 SEP v2s.

Here they are on a SEP v2 I photographed a few years ago at Ft Stewart as they were just being fielded.

The picture on the right that he is comparing it to is the older, two-lobe style.

Here are walk-around pics I took of them at Ft Stewart.

Agree on everything you said, looks like a nicely detailed kit.Not bad-mouthing the reviewer, but it appears he’s not very familiar with the M1 series of tanks in regards to the wheel hubs. Gonna pick one of these up if my local hobby shop has on.

Is the Protector "Low Profile" RWS part of the M1A2 SEPV2 upgrade?

I am surprised that no one has made the "Low Profile" RWS in plastic for the M1A2 SEPV2 kits yet.

Yes, the CROWS II is part of the M1A2 SEP v2 upgrade. It is the biggest part of the v2 upgrade.

Gino, but that's the "High Profile" CROWS II in the M1A2 SEPV2 plastic kits sold today, not the "Low Profile" CROWS II as in the Blast Kit. They definitely do look different.

More news here...seems like "Low Profile" CROWS II didn't get produced and no one really knows why. SNAFU? Seems kind of strange to have such a tall CROWS II just to mount a M2HB or MK-19.

The CROWS lp was indeed produced and is being currently fielded. Photos taken from efp battlegroup latvia fb page.

The molding is fantastic. The "crispness" of detail is what I would have hoped for. So... who will carry Vollo?

If I was looking for a 1/35 Abrams, I would certainly get this one! The molding detail is fantastic, especially on those lift handles on the engine deck (might seem a trivial point, but it just shows the level of detail)!

Yes, but where to buy it? I don't see it on preorder in any of my usual go-to online stores.

EDIT: I tell a lie - Lucky are listing it: https://www.luckymodel.com/scale.aspx?item_no=VO-01101
