The disappointing decals aren't really that important as many (most?) of these ARVs didn't have much in the war of individual markings outside of the Balkenkreuz. This is an excellent kit and I am really looking forward to building mine soon, if only to compare it with the Takom variant. Can't remember which but one of these has the distinction of having the complete TMD conversion set, though happily in styrene and not resin. That set was a $150 USD conversion when it was still offered making whichever kit had it a fabulous deal!

G'day Mark

Good review - I have one of those in the stash waiting to be built.

The following may be of interest:

The winch cables on the Bergepanther A were 50 metres long by 25mm diameter, those on the Ausf G were the same length but 32mm diameter. This equates to a required scale length of 1.43 metres, and neither Meng nor Takom gives us anything like that amount.

Regards

Rob
