Great review Darren. I talked to you about these tracks a while ago as being very flashy in addition to tedious to clean up. In the mean time I have used them for spare tracks. The jig didn't work for me as it was really difficult to align all the pins, but doing them pin by pin wasn't too terrible. They are the only 36cm tracks that are not metal and very reasonably priced and available, so that's that.

Just a friendly FYI. Sector35 makes 36cm metal tracks but they are hard to get now. I have several sets. Part number SEC3559-SL

There are no lack of metal 36cm tracks from different companies. Non metal tracks are rare. Modelkasten would have them but nowhere close to this price and availability.

Ah, I misread that, I thought that you meant no metal 36cm metal tracks.

Thought so no worries. Friul must have this, and I was stocked up on the R-model metals.

My only issue with clean up is due to the number of connection points, I suppose it is possible that you purchased a Friday afternoon rough set. These have just been re-released by MiniArt and it is possible that they were out of circulation while the moulds were cleaned up and that could be another reason you had a bad set. What I will say is that MiniArt is excellent at replacement of damaged and missing parts.

MiniArt is indeed a great company both from the perspective of the amazing subject materials, price and quality as well as their excellent customer service. Can't say enough good things about them though I wish that they branched out into more German softskins and maybe the occasional armoured subject.

No complaints about quality and detail as I do the cleanup now for MiniArt's Valentine V, but at 98 tracks per side and 4 attachment points per track, that's 784 points to clean up and I feel it.

Actually used 100 each side for the Valentine.

I was never one to count tracks even though I like to know how many should be used, I tend to go for what looks right rather than is right. Clean up is a pain regardless of what track type you use and I must like these as I have purchased four further sets of them.

I only include the accounts as advice. The instructions break it into four runs with a total of 98 but I found the bottom run, which the instructions say should be 43, to be short by 2. Easy to correct but just a heads up.

I am not knocking you Johhar and I find the information you have supplied of interest.

Miniart are one of the much underrated(but incredible value for money) model companies in the AFV kit world and their kits are superb.
