Tried to find more info/photos on the Panzer IV Berge but it is not currently listed in Dragon's October new product releases nor any of their earlier announcements.

Dragon Models does a really nice job as regards German armour, but their prices are hurting their sales a lot now with many companies just not bothering to carry them due to those high prices and so limited sales.

It had Magic Tracks back then, a decade ago, hard to tell from the small box image if the tracks are DS or Magic or Neo

Unfortunately they are DS tracks. It's visible on the lower left side of the box image.

That is my impression too but I am not certain enough to make a definite statement about it in case I am wrong ...

DS for the (Berge)Panzer IV, it has a clear logo... The Panzer III comes with Magic Tracks, though.

Michael, it is announced for October.

What I'd like to know: are Dragon kits also more expensive than the others in Asia? If not so, could it be they just made a bad deal with the distributor in the US/Europe?

Seems to me the "new" kits offered as 2-in-1 is a desperate attempt to win back at least some market share...

Oh boy, oh boy, DS Tracks!

Don't I have that III in my stash somewhere already? Ron's cover art looks awfully familiar.

"Lookie Ma! variations on the same ol' kits AGAIN!" Yup, isn't Dragon becoming absolutely predictable in what it re-releases. Great for those who didn't get it the first time; tedious for those of us who (probably) have one buried somewhere... and the inclusion of DS tracks usually leads to universal revulsion and condemnation...score another one for Team Dragon! (sarcasm intended) How about something new and unexpected? Though NOT a Triebflugel please...

Great to see these being re-released. Both the Panzer III and Panzer IV were some of their better efforts.

I'm not a fan of most of these 2-in-1 dragon kits. I'm working on their Jagdtiger early 2 in 1 kit and I would call it disappointing. It's a complete hodgepodge of sprues. It's missing most of the dragon card goodies (metal barrel, tool clasp PE details, tow cables, clear periscopes, etc.) The worst part of it is they incorrectly provided the Kingtiger late sprue with the final version of the 18T drive sprockets. The original version of the early JT kit had the correct early 18T sprockets. Luckily, I had a spare set of Friul sprockets and some masterclub tracks to pretty it up with. At least I can use the late KT sprue on another build.

I have the kits as separate entities. If I take each pairing and place them within a larger box, then I will have what Dragon is only partly offering: a true two kits in one.

People were already complaining about the smorgasbord of sprues in an ordinary Dragon kit, but to stuff even more crap in these boxes -- and apparently without close attention to see if all the correct sprues are actually in the box -- is just ridiculous. I'm sure all of us who build their German armor has a ton of extra bits for say, Pz III's, but no chassis to throw it on. If you buy another kit to get a chassis, now you have more extras.

My next diorama will be a used roadwheel dealership on the highway south out of Algiers. There will be a pyramid built from Jerry cans in back.

I really like that idea of a used tank wheel dealership and the pyramid of fuel cans is a marketing marvel! Picture it: "Josef's used wheels & tires". Love it.
