I started the Amusing Hobby Ferdinand over the weekend. Huge box- looks like a decent kit. Mine came with a metal barrel that reminds me of a RB metal barrel. Muzzle brake is brass. Comes with rubber band tracks AND indy tracks, which is a nice touch. Looks like the only carryover from their Tiger (P) is the running gear and lower part of lower hull. Upper hull is retooled with a rolled steel texture

I got some work done. Interior is OK, not super detailed. Attachment points for some parts is fiddly, with missing locator pins on some parts, some flash and some prominent mold seams. The two engines are frustrating, as the fit isn't great leaving gaps. Also, step 11 has a large error, reversing the position of substep A and B from the previous step. I'm not really concerned too much as I plan to paint over the clear engine deck and roof, anyway. Here's a couple quick pics I snapped at lunch

Amusing Hobby provides a colored guide to painting the interior, but there are some questionable color callouts. Instructions show just about everything in the lower interior painted as Dunkelgrau, while the picture shows a lighter, blue-ish gray. There are no color callouts in the individual steps, either.

Pics of the engine. Fit wasn't great here but it will be mostly hidden

Pics of the lower hull interior sub assemblies. Not sure why Amusing made the sides out of PE, which were another fiddly part to assemble. I guess for scale thickness should you leave the access panel off, although there isn't anything behind it so I don't know. Some large knockout marks to fill...

The book is good on checking accuracy, it however makes you really sad that the details on the Amusing kit is so lean. If RMF did it it'd be quite different and they probably are working on it.

The book was also doing a lot of guesses on coloring because his reference was a very rusted vehicle. I haven't found a better reference however.
