HI guys

Can anyone help me on this pattern thing? I would like to do a 1944 sdkfz 250/9 and am looking for options for resin front wheel.

But what is the difference between the Gelände Pattern A and Commercial Pattern A?

Gelände = off road / terrain

Commercial as in ordinary road usage

Look at the tread. The terrain pattern has chunkier blocks with larger gaps at the edges between the blocks.
The commercial pattern has three smooth strips in the centre while the terrain pattern has two smooth strips separated by a wider groove.

Thank you Robin

So they can be used at the same time, just depends on the tactical situation if the vehicle needs to travel off-road, right?

I don't have the slightest idea if the tires/wheels were swapped depending on tactical situation.
The Sd.Kfz. 250 does not have a driven front axle so I don't think the tire pattern makes much of a difference.

I think logistical or supply/economical reasons are more probable.

Off the road

In the desert, same vehicle as image below

Another "civilian" pattern

The Greif in the desert

Gelände pattern at the barracks, just delivered from the factory

When I did an image search with Google I found a LOT more images with the Gelände pattern than the civilian style.
