Here comes another oldtimer kit from my workbench. It's a "Panzerkampfwagen 38(t)" from Revell/Italerei (the former name of Italeri). The kit was released in 1973.....but as I said....Oldie but Goldie!!!
The Panzerkampfwagen 38 (t), developed in 1938 in Czechoslovakia, was one of the most modern armored vehicles of its time. Built under the type designation TNHP-S for the Czech army, this tank was also sold to Switzerland, Sweden and Peru.
After the invasion of Germany into Czechoslovakia, the Wehrmacht took over the TNHP-S under the designation Pz.Kpfw.38 (t). Production was maintained and demand exceeded production capacity.
By 1942, more than 1,100 specimens had been built, which were used in France and Russia.
The armament consisted of a 3.7cm cannon and two in the MGs. One in the tower, the other MG on the front of the chassis.
Crew: 4 men
Drive: Praga "EPA" six-cylinder petrol engine with 125 hp. The top speed was 42km / h with a range of 230km.
Build out of box (full ancient retro style!!), colours from Revell.
Weathering by washing with diluted oilpaints and using of various pastelchalks.
Dust and dirt were applied with diluted acrylic paints by airbrush gun.
Cheers
Stefan :-)
