It has a lot of nice parts, but only vague directions on putting them together. Can anybody help please?

Look at the photos here...pretty much covers all the parts
placement.

Cheers,
Thanks, but the barrel I have is the more complicated version.

If this is the one, instructions are quite clear.

Cheers,
Having just gotten started on my own T-10M, I have some sympathy for Tom; I too have the Aber barrel and although I'm some way off assembling the turret, and therefore installing the gun, the instructions are a little vague. The schematic does make it look fairly straightforward but the barrel kit comes with a small length of wire and the instructions are a bit lacking here. It looks like a length of wire has to be wrapped around the barrel forward of the fume extractor and seems to recommend a length of 1mm, however, that will not circumnavigate the barrel so does a small length then just require to be cemented underneath the barrel - for whatever reason? Everything else looks straightforward but the wire aspect isn't, or have I missed the bleeding obvious?
Happy to be advised accordingly, as I'm sure, is Tom!

Maybe views of the 1:1 fume extractor would help...

It doesn't go around the barrel. It looks like the instructions say to cut a 1mm length and fit it perpendicularly (radially) into the bore evacuator. Is there a hole in the tube?

Thanks Frenchy,
I have the pretty good book by Messrs Kinnear and (Cookie) Sewell with not dissimilar, good close-ups but am still unsure as to what Aber are hinting at; however, I don't think it's anything crucial, after all, this is a 1:35th scale kit and upon reflection I think a decent representation can still be constructed.
Thanks again though.

At least there's on in the 1:1 one (first link I've posted)
Looks like it's a bolt hole (second link)

Thank you so much! The pictures help greatly! Ironically I happened to buy the barrel but not the tank kit yet.

Chaps,
Thanks for all the responses (and I hope this helps Tom, the original poster).
There is indeed, an almost microscopic hole just at the forward edge of the fume extractor; conceivably Aber wish the 1mm length of wire to be inserted here to represent the protrusion shown in Frenchy's excellent second picture, presumably a bolt or lug of some sort.
I couldn't discern the hole with my aged naked eye but with my modelling optics on I could (!). The trouble is, the wire doesn't fit, however, I do believe that is what Aber intend, and thanks to Kurt for what is perhaps the "obvious" were I not so blind.
I'm sure the hole can be drilled out to take the 1mm wire and I'll do just that in due course.
Thanks again to all for your assistance.
