Hello all.
I'm checking my stash and the Sd.Kfz.179 Bergepanther Ausf. A is on the table now. I bought this kit because Dave Coyne on Track-Link did an excellent review on the subject. Decided, from reading the review a several times and to understand the somewhat complex history of German manufacturing, to go for a Bergepanther factory build from Demag (late). Means winch and spade will be assembled.
Something like this:

Nice detail is the field addition of hatches over the driver and gunner positions.
This one is also cool:

Having made that choice, a lot of parts stay in the box, a common thing nowadays in modeling.

So what to do with the 2cm. KWK 38 gun?

Anyone out there with a cunning plan for this gun?

Kind regards,

Robert Jan

Thanks Dan.
So for the future, I 'promised myself' to get some builds done, my stash is way too big, I need a Steyr around December 2020.
There might be some AM stuff for mounting the gun. Have to search for that.
More ideas are welcome, as I am miles away from building DAK related models, but with the Max & Moritz kit from AFV Club it's a nice addition to a future build.
Meantime the gun will be stored with other useful stuff.

Kind regards,

Robert Jan

I remember seeing an article and a photo years ago on building this gun mount for the Steyr.
