Can someone please tell me why some defense blogs have 300 comments and others have zero comments? I understand the "Lost lips sink ships" motto. Yes, there are Spammers, trolls, flamers, and such. I feel like I'll be in the spotlight for posting comments for great defense articles when no one else does so I too turn into a Lurker and refrain.
Just a few years back, the public used to post all sorts of comments. Even those "Career Commentators" don't post as often or spread all over the blogs as they did before.
I am wondering if there might be something that I am missing. I also notice that not many people post info as much anymore. They might make a wise(crack) observation, but hardly anyone cares to share as much info these days. Any thoughts or explanations? Have the world and the public grown tired of trying to change industry ambitions and plans?
Thanks in advance.
