I have found a great way to make a burnt down fire, simply light a match, wait for it to go out. snap it into small sticks and place them on a blob of glue in a campfire shape, then do the same except crush up the match and sprinkle it on top. Blow away the excess and add some tiny spots of orange paint. There you go, a campfire.

Neat idea - simple effective - Nice. You can even go to the garden and get small stick to simulate a log with bark on it.
Add a mini-wheat bulb and shazam you have a flickering flame.

Yeah,
And yo can add some of my gray whiskers from my electric shaver for ashes and some fluorescent red and yellow paint for simulating the fire.

A very little bit of glitter sparkles down deep in the campfire or just on the ends of the burning logs will look like the burning coals of a real campfire. When viewed from different angles the glitter particles will appear to wink on and off like the real thing.
