I am working on the Meng King Tiger with interior and I am curious as to what everyone suggests as colors for the shells? I have seen pics with two colors with one probably brass and not sure of the other. Looking for references but having trouble locating one. Suggestions or help?

Those are not realistically painted.
Shell casings were brass or steel with the steel ones being a electroplated type of green, semi transparent finish.

How would you go about painting this? Green filter over steel?

Probably something like that dark steel with a greenish clearcoat.
Maybe make the clearcoat less opaque?
