Hi all,
I have an Asuka sherman kit ( 35043 M4A3(76)W) that seems to be missing the muzzle brake for the gun.
In the instructions in step #16, it shows pictures of the M/B, but no sprue letter or part numbers...
I've checked all the the runners/sprues and have come up with no joy/blank!
Has anyone had this situation happen to them, or know about this problem?
Am I missing something about this kit that is common knowlege?
Also, I've looked at the Asuka web page to see if my missing parts would show up on one of the sprues they have for sale, but again, no joy...
Thanks in advance for any help with my problem...

Hi all,
Well, this is anoying! I found a site that has the instructions and runner/sprues showing what's in the kit and it has a very small plastic bag with the three parts and a small card in it showing the finished kit...
However , still no runner letter or part numbers!
I feel like I've been run over by DML, as this is common with that company!
Asuka is better, I had hoped...
Oh well, snit happens.......
Now the hunt for a replacement is on...
Thank, Paul S.

Paul,
I have a 35-043 kit and I don't have an issue going with the thread protector on the 76mm main gun. Drop me a PM and we can work out the details.

You might check Sprue E the one with the Hull sides and bottom.
I have the Easy 8 kit and that's where they are on it.
They usually swap the basic kit Sprue around for similar kits.
Hope this helps.

Hi all,
John and Doc, thanks very much for the offers, however I was able to locate a spare M/B from an old DML kit in the "left over parts box" that I forgot all about, seems to be good to go, a little drilling and I was able to mate up the situation nicely...
Doc, thanks for the info, I had looked at the HobbySearch web page to view the kit parts trees. Thats when I saw the M/B as a separately packaged small bagged part.
I also looked through the Asuke web page to see if I could locate the M/B on a tree for my kit, but no joy. I just looked at the Asuka site again to see about your suggestion, and found 3 different parts trees lettered "E"... Go figure!
But, I did find the one you wrote about, so thanks for that.
Well, back to building,
Paul S.
