Not a good background for the PMCs as the truck offers no cover. Good poses though. The first set looks like a good start to a new XVII century series with an Iroquois look to them.

Mmmm...Eastern Woodland Natives (Iroquois). Now we need some British troops to go with them - or dead French troops!

What are the odds the contents of that PMC box match the cover art?

Pretty damn low if the previous modern offerings are to be used as
evidence against them.

Zoom in real close there, drool all over the gucci weapons kit

Now see whats ACTUALLY in the box...

not the same.. huh?? What are the odds??

The MWD down fig set is just as bad.

I'll wait to see sprue shots BEFORE I spend any more money.

MB weapons aren't the greatest and every US WW2 canteen is the USMC unique crossed flaps.

And the larger sets often skimp on gear, but I am in it for the figures. You don't see this variety anywhere else in plastic.

There are plastic figures of 18th century French 1750-60 and post 1777, Prussian (easily made into Hessian) and British and American AWI infantry out there. But they're all 1/32.

I'd like to see a Plains of Abraham of Wolfe or Montcalm's passing, a Ambush on the Monongehela with Braddock anf British infantry and Fort Necessity with Washington and Virginia militia. And of course battle of the snowshoes with Rodger's Rangers.

Looks like the Woodland Native Americans firearms are cap locks. Wrong for F&I or Rev War. Percussion weapons were not mainstream until probably the mid / late 1840s.

At Gryphon Group (and some courses I've taught like SFAUC) behind the wheels offers your best protection, which three of these guys are more or less trying to use. If I were out in say, the Jazeera Desert, the truck would preferable to absolutely nothing else.

Looking back at the Wild West figures, Miniart tends to make mistakes with pre 20th century firearms.

Considering how many cap lock muskets were actually conversions from flint locks, one could do the same here.

Scratchbuilt pan cover and a few flicks of the knife or file on the dog should do it.

WOW! They look great. Something I noticed though scrolling through the other figure sets... WW2 German still dominates. I was a die hard Panzertruppe myself.. but re-discovered modern a few years ago. Why is it that there are very few modern subjects (in plastic)? There are some but not the common subjects I think we would all like to see. Special forces is OK, modern Army (NATO) available but very few Cold War subjects, Modern 3rd world country armies, militias, etc. again, in plastic. I would love to see some more subjects out there.
