Saw one on the Torro RC tank site, and it looked kind of cool, almost a natural fitthey call it NATO desert camouflage.
Couldn't find anything on it on the web.
So flight of fancy or based on fact?

I like it - something a bit different. Paint it as you like... I would.

Just curious if you could post a example pic you are curious about?

Looks fun tbh. I've found myself migrating to at least 1 PA/what if...build a year for that very reason. Takes the pressure off being too accurate, and as a reminder for me it's a hobby and should be fun. I am currently working on a Dunkelgelb Leo 2 for that very reason. More of the same I say

Hi,
if you like some real difference in painting, then use the urban camouflage. This one has not been on a mission either, but is (was) reality in a training center.

yes, thats the one I felt might be the one talked about for this example. I came across a few that maybe could fall into this look.
I lean greatly into the what if looks for builds, but I am focusing on pure examples more now also.
Regardless i will post some looks in this thread. I just didn't want to stir the purest pot.

Kelly, I believe that are the so called "Umtarnfarben" on the photos you show. Looks like Sandbeige (RAL 1039), Sandbraun (RAL 8031) and Tarngrau (RAL 7050). They are in use with the Bundeswehr in Afghanistan (former GECON ISAF) and have nothing to do with the camo of the Wehrmacht. Correct me, if I'm wrong.
