Other than the AAVP7A1, can anyone suggest a suitable amphibious vehicle that could be suitably set in a sea/ocean setting? I am looking for a subject that is available in either 1/72 or 1/76 scale. Perhaps a BTR-80A? I know that certain vehicles are able to ford shallow water such as rivers or lakes, but I am thinking of something in deeper water … moving towards a beach.

Henri-Pierre,
Many thanks … I had thought about the 'Ka-Mi', but one of the others may be an option. Actually, I quite fancy the PT-76B. If I recall, this is quite an old kit from PST, so I will have to try and locate one … maybe from KingKit.

Hobby Search sell their kits but most of them are out of stock or sold out...Maybe you could try to order directly ?
PS : did you notice the M76 Otter ?

Paul, Hobby Boss is releasing an SS-23 Spider in 1/72nd next month which I plan on getting. I think Ace has a PT-76 but it's a rough kit.
